Cummings, Shawn (Marriage - 23 May 1970)

Miss Shawn Cummings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Rogness of Canton, Mo., and the late Robert Cummings, was given in marriage by Vernon Rogness to James Frederickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Frederickson, of Black River Falls, Saturday, May 23, at 4 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls. The Rev. Thomas Heyd performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in a slim line gown with a mandarin neckline, and short sleeves edged in white lace. The gown had deep slits at the side, flowing into a V-shaped chapel-length train, also edged in lace. She wore a shoulder-length veil of imported silk, English illusion and held by floral piece of Venetian lace. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and pink tea roses.

Miss Alice Frederickson, matron-of-honor, wore a pink chiffon empire dress with long sleeves and a white hat trimmed in pink. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations.

Randy Millis served a bestman.

Organist was Mrs. David Fossum, and the soloist was Steven Cummings.

A reception was held in the church basement.

The bride graduated from Black River Falls High School and attended the Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire. The groom graduated from the same high school and attended college at Whitewater.

Mr. Frederickson is employed at the R.E.A.

After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin the couple will make their home in Black River Falls.
