Agnes Wehrmann, 81, Loyal, died on Friday, Aug. 28, 1998, at the Clark County
Health Care Center, Owen. The family
will greet everyone at noon on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Immanuel United Church of
Christ, Greenwood. Memorial services
will be held at 1 p.m., at the church. The Rev. Michael Kennedy will officiate.
A lunch will follow the service.
Agnes Bizjak was born on Jan. 21, 1917, near Willard, to August and Anna (nee
Schaschl) Bizjak. She graduated from
Greenwood High School and attended Wausau Business College.
She married Albert Wehrmann on Nov. 5, 1938.
They farmed near Greenwood, the served food at the Greenwood Café, before
beginning farming in the Loyal area.
She also worked at Rellis IGA, Loyal, and Land O’Lakes, Spencer, before
retiring. She was a member of the
Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood.
She led a life of service and dedication to many.
She enjoyed baking, crocheting, farming, gardening and dancing.
Survivors include five daughters: Bernie (Jim) Treichel, Oregon; Betty (Tom)
Comstock, St. Charles, IL; Judy (Russ) Haslow, Cottonwood, AZ; Sheri (Dave)
Stebbins, Waldorf, MD; and Bonnie (Ray) Weyer, Loyal; 10 grandchildren, Dave and
Barry Treichel, Paige (Greg) Roesner, Tracy Comstock, Allison (Chris) Wrobel,
Kirk Haslow, Kelly (Steve) Gregorich, Kyle, Blair and Rachel Weyer; six
great-grandchildren, Katerina, Tiffany, Tanya, Cody, Zachary and Megan; one
sister, Sophie (Norman) Reineking; five sisters-in-law, Connie Bizjak, Esther
Bizjak, Alma (nee Wehrmann) Klug, Gladys (nee Wehrmann) Tatalovich and
Virginia(nee Wehrmann) Gehrt; and one brother-in-law, Arno (Jane) Wehrmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Albert; one
sister, Rose Howard; four brothers, Carl, August, Joe and John Bizjak; and
Henry, Ida, Alvin, Leo and Marian, of the Wehrmann family.
Memorials may be directed to Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
