Schlinsog. Mr. and Mrs. Albert (12 Nov 1914-Nov 1964)

A golden wedding celebration was held at Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday honoring Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schlinsog, Granton who were married on November 12, 1914 by the Rev. Martin Hasz at Zion., Mapleworks Church. The couple has spent all of their married life together on the farm south of Granton where they live now since retirement.

Mrs. Schlinsog, the former Martha Schaller was born May 21, 1892 at Boyd. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. George Schaller, who later moved to a farm in the town of Grant. Mr. Schlinsog was born on October 11, 1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Schlinsog on the same farm where they now reside.

A dinner was served to forty relatives and friends with open house from 2 – 4 in the afternoon. Coming from out of town for the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Strey, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Schlinsog, Marshfield; Darwin Schlinsog, Madison; and Mr. and Mrs. David Richter, Park Falls. Their children are (Lydia) Mrs. Allan Montgomery and Paul Schlinsog, both of grant; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Montgomery and family, Coleen, Connie, Gayle and bret and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schlinsog and son Darwin were all present. A grandson Allan Jr. and family were unable to attend.

Flowers for the altar were given by the Montgomery family and the corsage and flower worn by Mr. and Mrs. Schlinsog was a gift from their grandson Darwin.
