St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal was the scene Saturday, August 29, at 10 a.m. of the wedding of Miss Andrea Anna Wehe and John Weyer.

The bride, who came down the aisle on the arm of her father, was attired in a floor length gown of chantilly lace over taffeta, with jewel trim scalloped bateau neckline on a fitted bodice. The full hoop skirt of lace had an insertion of nylon tulle near the front hemline, with self-fabric rose trim. The back was comprised of rufflkaes of lace and tulle. A bouffant veil was secured to a queen’s crown of pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses, swansonia and white carnations.

The matron of honor, the bride’s sister, Mrs. Gerald Meysembourg of Milwaukee was dressed in a bell shaped street length with a scoop neckline. Her head piece was pearl trimmed with a blusher veil. She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of pink roses and white gladiola blossoms.

The bridesmaids were Mrs. Lavern Lindner, Shirley Weyer, Barbara Weyer, and Donna Weyer all of Loyal. Their gowns were identical to that of the matron of honor.

The best man was Gerald Meysembourg, broth-in-law of the bride. The groomsmen were LaVerne Lindner, Artie Lindner, Raymond Wehe and Lawrence Lindner.

Acting as ushers were Norbert Olson, brother-in-law of the bride and Robert Weyer, an uncle of the groom.

Following the ceremony a dinner was held in the church hall. A reception was held in the afternoon at the home of the bride’s father. Supper was also held in the church hall. A wedding dance was held at the Silver Dome ballroom in the evening.

The couple both attended St. Anthony’s School and both graduated from Loyal High School. The bride was a 1961 graduate and the groom graduated in 1959. The bride was employed at K-Korners and the groom is a farmer.
