Francis, Patricia Lynn (24 JUL 1965)

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Arcadia was the setting for the wedding of Miss Patricia Lynn Francis, Loyal daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Francis, Loyal and Daniel Slaby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Slaby, Arcadia.

Arrangements of blue and white carnations accented with green decorated the church altar for the wedding nuptials, which took place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24^th, the Rev. Leisle officiated.  Mr. Francis gave his daughter in marriage.

The bride wore a floor length gown with a lace bodice, full bouffant skirt of satin covered with lace like the bodice and a chapel length train of all lace.  The high neckline was decorated with sequins and pearls.  The bridal veil in bouffant arrangement was secured to a Cleopatra headpiece with pearls.

Mrs. Ronnie Slaby, Arcadia was the bride’s matron of Honor; Miss Jackie Francis, Miss Joan Shefchik, Miss Jean Shefchik all of Loyal were the bridal aides.  Miss Paula Francis of Loyal was the junior bridesmaid; the aides wore light blue crepe floor length dresses with slim-line empire waists and scoop necklines.  They each carried blue and white carnations.

Dale and Diane Slaby, brother and sister of the groom were the ring bearer and flower girl.

The groom choose Ronnie Slaby, Arcadia for his best man; Frank Slaby, Dennis Slaby and Harry Haines all of Arcadia as the groomsmen and Eddy Haines, Arcadia the junior attendant, Douglas LaZotte, Neillsville and Paul Kanie, Arcadia the ushers.

A dinner was held at noon at Club 98, Arcadia.

The groom graduated from high school at Arcadia and the bride attended school at Loyal High School.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the couple will reside in Arcadia where the groom ins employed as a mechanic.
