Greenwood (19 February 1970)

The Happy Hustler Homemakers met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. George Scherer. Mrs. Harlan Brux opened the meeting. It was reported two cakes were baked for the birthdays of residents of the Clark County Home for the Aged in the month of January. Announcement was made of the Red Cross annual meeting and dinner to be served at 7:30 p.m. in the Greenwood High School February 22. Mrs. Brux gave the lesson on “Pollution.” The March meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Hugh Severson. Mrs. John Lindner and Mrs. John Kaltinger will give the lesson on “Putting color to use in the home.”

Sister Bernita and friends from Naperville, Ill., spent Sunday at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Zepaltas, and family.

Dr. and Mrs. Gary Rohde and sons, Douglas and Dean, returned to River Falls Monday after spending the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rohde.

John Dyre of Milwaukee and his sister, Mrs. Harold Hoffman of Madison, were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre.

Guests Sunday at the Clarence Verhulst home were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Verhulst and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Verhulst and family.

Mrs. Glen Drew was a guests Sunday at the home of her sister, Mrs. William Jake, Jr., in Neillsville.

Mrs. Donald Bowe and daughter, Kari, returned to Milwaukee after spending the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hendrickson and at the Ben Bowe home in Loyal.

Charles Ivey of Eau Claire spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Kathryn Ivey.
