St. Anthony's Catholic Church was the setting for the wedding of Miss Patricia Rueth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rueth, and Jerry D. Kelty, Westfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kelty, Greenwood.

The Nuptial Mass was performed at 12:30 p.m. July 11, 1964, with Father Norbert E. King officiating. The songs were sung by the choir of St. Anthony's Church, with Mrs. E. M. Trinka, organist.

Miss Gertrude Rueth was her sister's maid of honor, with Miss Patsy O'Brien and Miss Bonnie Rollins, Marshfield; friends of the bride as bridesmaids. The aides were all dressed in gowns of orchid chiffon over taffeta, featuring a satin cummerband and basque bow, with street-length bell skirts. They all carried cascade bouquets of orchid carnations.

The best man was P.F.C. Jerry Kolb of Fort Carson, Colorado; a friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Harold Branstiter and bill Lindner, Greenwood.

Acting as ushers were two cousins of the bride, Ronald Rueth and Tom Elsinger, Loyal.

The bride was attired in a floor length gown of chantilly lace, with an apron effect front, trimmer with sequins. The back of the skirt was of ruffled lace tiers, with sequin trim and net inserts ending in a ruffles train. Her boufant veil fell from an organza petal headpiece, trimmed with urora bouralis. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

A reception followed the ceremony at the bride's parent’s home, with a supper in the church hall.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School in 1962 and the groom is a 1961 graduate of theGgreenwood High School.

After a honeymoon trip to Northern Wisconsin and Michigan the couple will reside at Westfield. where the groom is employed.

Wedding guests came from Dexter, Cadot, Boyd, Wausau, Edgar, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Park Falls, Madison, Milwaukee, Unity, Colby, Withee, Greenwood and Loyal.

Patricia A. Kelty, 63, Loyal, died on Thursday, July 17, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, July 21, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. The Rev. James Logan fficiated. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
