Peters, Ruth Ann (08 MAY 1965)

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Peters, route 1, Auburndale, Miss Ruth Ann Peters and Dennis George Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cook, route 1 Loyal exchanged marriage vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony Saturday, May 8, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Auburndale.

The Rev. Raymond Rucki officiated and Sister M. Innocentia played the organ. The girls’ choir sang the Mass.  The church altar was decorated with pink chrysanthemums and red roses.

The bride was seen in a gown of Chantilly lace featured with a Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins on the fitted bodice.  Her four tiered ruffle skirt had an apron effect in back sweeping into a Watteau train.  Her crown of Alencon lace with lilies of the valley and aurora borealis crystals secured the bouffant veil of English illusion.

The bride’s crescent type bouquet consisted of red roses, white carnations and stephanotis with ribbon streamers.

The bridal attendants were Mrs. Lee Cook of Milwaukee, the matron of honor and Mrs. George Peters, route 5, Marshfield and Miss Marilyn Kohlbeck, Hewitt the bridesmaids.

The attendants wore light blue floor length gowns of peau de soie with full backs and bows, the bodices highlighted with jewelry necklines.  They carried colonial type arrangements of white and blue pom-poms.

Lee Cook, Milwaukee, was best man; George Peters, route 5 Marshfield and Dennis Tesmer also of Marshfield the groomsmen; and Roy Cook, Marshfield, and Pfc. Ronald Peters, Fort McClellan, Alabama, were ushers.

A wedding reception was held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Eagles Hall in Marshfield.  The dinner was served at St. Mary’s Church Hall in Auburndale at 5 p.m.  A Dance in the evening was held at the Eagles Hall in Marshfield.

The bride attended the Auburndale Parochial and High Schools, and formerly was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield.  The groom attended Loyal Grade and High Schools, is a cheese maker for Schlinsog’s Dairy, Loyal.

After a honeymoon spent in the Mississippi area, the couple will live in Loyal.

Relatives and friends came from Auburndale, Marshfield, Stratford, Rudolph, Loyal, Milwaukee, Appleton, Chilton, Hammond and Waukesha, also from St. Paul, Minnesota and Ridgeville, Indiana.
