Bernice Fetting, 90, Marshfield, was born into eternal life on Saturday, June 1, 2013, with her family at her side. Because of health issues, Bernice had been residing at Three Oaks in Marshfield since 2009. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., on Friday, June 7, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. Rev. Trisha Turner will officiate. Burial will take place in The Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., on Friday, June 7, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home.

Bernice was born on April 16, 1923, in St Charles, Ill., the daughter of Willis and Louise (nee Jones) Wilkison. She graduated from Plato Center High School in Illinois. On Oct. 18, 1941, she married Fred G. Fetting in Elgin, Ill. The couple farmed in Illinois and in the Greenwood and Loyal area for many years. Bernice was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. She served as an Avon representative and election poll worker for several years. She was a proud grandmother and cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of Bernice’s interests included buying and refinishing antiques, embroidery, needlepoint, gardening, playing cards, and watching the Milwaukee Brewers. She also loved baking, cooking and canning.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Ted Fetting, Wauwatosa, David (Karen) Fetting, Moose Lake, Minn., Ralph (Mary) Losyewicz) Fetting, Gilman, Ruth Kalms, Marshfield, and Lily (Darrell) Michalski, Marshfield; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, three sisters and two brothers preceded Bernice in death.

Those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy in Bernice’s memory are encouraged to contribute to the charity of their choice.
