Hendriks, Frank (20 MAR 1914 - 4 JUN 2013)

Frank Hendriks, age 99, of Withee, went to his eternal home to be with his beloved wife Vi, on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 8 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Withee. The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home of Owen assisted the family with arrangements.

Frank and his identical twin brother, John, were born on March 20, 1914 to Theodore and Nellie Hendriks at Glenwood City. He was a brother to Ken, Ted, Anton, Mary, Lena, Willamena, Anna and his twin, John. When he was a child the family moved to a farm in rural Thorp.

In December 1940, Frank married Violet Turenne in Thorp. To this marriage were born two daughters, Fay and Nancy. In 1941, Frank and Vi bought a farm in rural Withee where they farmed until their retirement. In addition to farming, Frank worked for a few years for the Clark County Highway Department. He was also employed by the Frederick Post Company in Owen for 32 years.

In his retirement years, he loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed his daily trips to spend time with the Gang at Midway Bar in Withee. He was their source of information about the history of the Owen Withee area.

Frank was a loving husband, father and grandfather. The greatest joy in life was being with his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially their annual fishing trip with their friends.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Fay (Don) Stolp of Mosinee and Nancy (Denny) Henke of Withee, and grandchildren, Michael Stolp of California, Jeff (Vickie) Stolp of Stratford, Yvonne (Shane) Moen of Edgar, Monty (Renea) Henke of Medford and Mindy (Greg) Heiden of Edgar.

He is further survived by 11 great-grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vi in 2010, and his brothers and sisters.

Thank you to Dr. Wirtz and his staff and to the 1 East Staff of the Clark County Health Care Center for the care you provided for Dad.
