Suiter, Vernamae (9 AUG 1964)

The Immanuel Lutheran Church at Heweitt was the setting for the exchange of marriage vows of Miss Vernamae Suiter and Norman H. Wiersig at a 2 o'clock ceremony performed by the rev. Daniel Ahrens, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Marshfield, Saturday, Aug. 9, 1964.

Mr. and Mrs. Morill Suiter, route 5, Marshfield, and Rudolph Wiersig of Colby, are the parents of the couple.

The church was decorated with potted begonias place on the altar. Miss Sally Duchow presided at the organ for the ceremony.

For her wedding the bride chose a white waltz length brocade cotton and acetate gown featuring a portrait neckline trimmed with beads and pearls at the front. A crown of sequins and pearls held her shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schroeder, route 5, Marshfield, served as best man, and matron of honor, Mrs. Schroeder, wore a nylon and viscose rayon blue-pink waltz length dress and a blue crown of pearls. Pink roses and white carnations comprised her flowers.

Marvin Raschka and Leonard Rejch performed ushering duties.

A reception was held at the Lester Schroeder home and supper was served at the Hewitt Church School.

The bride received her education at Ferryville, and the groom was educated at Colby.

The newlyweds are living at route 2, Colby, where the bridegroom is engaged in farming.
