Fritz, Mary Ann (Marriage - 30 August 1969)

Miss Mary Ann Fritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loraine W. Fritz of Owen, became the bride of Duane R. Klabon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Klabon, Sr., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee Saturday. The Rev. Leroy Urman officiate d at the double-ring ceremony.

Guests numbering 200 were present as Mr. Fritz gave his daughter in marriage. The bride chose a gown featuring an empire bodice and full-length sleeves of white frilly lace. Her A-line skirt created its own chapel-length train. She carried a crescent-shaped bouquet of white ‘mums and ivy, centered with full red roses.

Ginger Gay of Withee was maid-of-honor. Sandra Johnson of Withee and Cindy Devine of Owen were bridesmaids.

Arthur Klabon, Jr., of Owen was bestman. Groomsmen were Jack Eloranta of Owen and Mark Klabon of Withee. Serving as ushers were Ross Fritz of Dorchester and Larry Klabon of La Crosse.

Kris Arneson of Owen provided nuptial organ music and Ramona Milliren of Withee was soloist.

A reception was given in the church parlors with 200 guests attending.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and will be attending Wisconsin State University-
Stevens Point this fall. The groom is in his third year at the same university, where he is a letterman. He is employed by the Stevens Point police department.
