Neillsville residents have received information concerning the wedding June 25, in Winifred, Mont., of Lt. George R. Poertner of Neillsville to Janet Virginia Udelhoven of Winifred.

The ride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Udelhoven of Winifred, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Bertha Poertner and the late George Poertner of Neillsville. He is a brother of Mrs. Sarah Pekol, also of Neillsville.

The wedding took place in the Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Harshman, pastor, performing the ceremony.

Matron-of-honor was Mrs. James (Sharon) Wickens of Harlowton, Mont.; and bridesmaids were Miss Andrea Udelhoven and Miss Cathy Udelhoven, both of Winifred, sisters of the bride. Tracy Books of Glasgow, Mont., and Natalie Econom of Winifred, Mont., were flower girls. Both are nieces of the bride. A nephew, Curtiss Brooks of Glasgow, Mont., was the ringbearer.

The groom was attended by Stanley Pekol of Neillsville as bestman; Bruce Udelhoven of Winifred and jack Brooks of Glasgow as groomsmen. Ushers were Tom Econom of Winifred and Alan Baquet of Dutton, Mont.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.

The newlyweds made a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park.

They will make their home in Germany, where the groom will be stationed with the United States armed forces.
