Rueth, Diane (Marriage - 5 July 1969)

Wedding vows were exchanged in Loyal Saturday at 12:30 ;.m. between Miss Diane Rueth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Rueth of Rt. 1 Greenwood, and Kenneth Courtney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Courtney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Courtney of R. 1 Colby. The Rev. N. E. King officiated at the double -ring ceremony performed at the St. Anthony Church, decorated with white altar bouquets of Gladioli and daisies.

The bride, given in marriage by her father wore a floor-length white entrained gown of silk organza over taffeta, with accents of lace trim. Her four-tier veil of silk illusion was held in place by a lace trimmed pillbox headpiece. She carried a cascade arrangement of yellow roses and white stephanotis.

Miss Alice Courtney of Coby, maid-of-honor, and Miss Linda Courtney of Coby and Miss Debora Rueth of Greenwood, bridesmaids, wore floor-length yellow empire sheath gowns of organza over taffeta. Each carried a brown wicher basket of yellow and white daisies.

Thomas Folz of Marshfield served as bestman. Groomsmen were Andrew Rueth of Greenwood and Dean Courtney of Colby. Steven Langfeldt of Loyal and Jim Farley of Minneapolis, Minn., were ushers.

Providing nuptial music was Mike Tucker at the organ, with singing by the summer choir. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, followed by a 4:30 supper in the church hall for approximately 200 guests.

A 1968 graduate of Greenwood High School, Mrs. Courtney has been employed in Marshfield. The groom is a 1967 graduate of Colby High School and is employed in Colby.

After their return from a wedding trip, the couple will live on Rt. 1 Colby.
