Hagedorn, Theresa Gail (Marriage - 14 June 1969)

Miss Theresa Gail Hagedorn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hagedorn, and Lloyd Wayne Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd T. Johnson, all of Neillsville, were united in marriage Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Spring green bows and altar bouquets of white gladioli, daisies and baby’s breath decorated the church. One hundred fifty guests watched Mr. Hagedorn escort his daughter to the altar.

The bride wore a gown of crystal peau de soie and sheer organza in empire design, with re-embroidered Alencon lace framing a high collar. It featured a circular, detachable train of sheer organza. The lace clustered organza fingertip veil was attached to a headpiece of sheer organza petals. She carried a casual mass bouquet of white daisies with baby’s breath and stephanotis.

June K. Johnson served as maid-of-honor, and Susan Johnson as bridesmaid. Both are sisters of the groom. They were dressed in floor-length empire gowns of spring green crepe, which were accented by their white straw, picture hats. Each carried a casual mass bouquet of yellow daisies and white baby’s breath.

Dick Urban was best man, and groomsman was Glenn Johnson. Dean Struble, Steve Lipscy, John Hagedorn and Jerald Hagedorn served as ushers.

Flower girls were Michele Hagedorn and Myra Hagedorn of Sun Prairie. They wore white floor length dresses with green sashes, and carried miniature bouquets identical to the attendants. Each had small daisies in her hair.

“Oh Perfect Love” and “The Wedding Prayer” were sung by Kendall Smith, and Victor Lehmann presided at the organ.

A wedding reception was held at 4:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran School, with 350 guests attending. Spring green crepe streamers and white candles decorated the tables.

Mr. and Mrs. Johnson left on a wedding trip to Fairbanks, Alaska, until July 9, when they take up residence at Eielson AFB, Alaska.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Neillsville High School in 1965 and from Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire in May, 1969. She has recently been employed as an intern for sixth grade at the Rice Lake Junior High School. Mr. Johnson is a 1966 Neillsville High School graduate and is presently serving with the United States Air Force as a sergeant in communications.
