SOUTH SPENCER
By Mrs. Albert Adams

Willard Hanson, of Chicago spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hanson and sister Violet and helped Mr. Hanson celebrate his birthday. He returned to Chicago Sunday afternoon.

A letter received from Peru, Illinois tells of 56 fox being killed from an airplane in the vicinity north of LaSalle, Ill., around and near the Vermillion River. The fox were photographed Monday, Feb. 7. LaSalle is just east of Peru and the two are called the twin cities.

A number of friends and neighbors surprised Mr. Albert Adams Monday evening when they came to help him celebrate his birthday. The evening was spent socially and a lunch which was furnished by the ladies of the group, was served.

Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Lynn and sons of Unity were last Sunday visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Greening. Wednesday evening visitors at the same home were Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Hein and daughter Lida Lou.
