Globe (9 January 1969)

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eslinger and grandsons, Dennis Pozega and Kevin Hilliard, visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mitte and family Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Grap, Jr., entertained dinner and supper guests Sunday honoring the birthday of their daughter, Terry, 10, their son, Perry, to, and her mother, Mrs. Ann Sladek of Marshfield. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Grap, Sr., and his mother, Mrs. Martha Grap, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitte and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thoma and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Grap.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuenkel and son spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Duge and family in Fairchild and were supper guests.

Lucky Clovers 4-H

Lucky Clovers 4-H club held their meeting on November 20 at the Northview School. The meeting was called to order by the vice president, Jim Henchen. The pledges were said and the minutes were read. Dues were taken and treasurer’s report read. It was announced that we were one of the 14 honor clubs. Mrs. Lonning read a letter which was received from a Korean child. Awards were given to the members. We received $6 for fire prevention display. We decided to have a Christmas party at our next meeting. We drew names for gifts. Mrs. Dux and Mrs. Schultz will be our leaders. Kay and Debbie are on the game committee. Loni made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Glen Nielsen seconded the motion. - Debbie Dux, club reporter

Lucky Clovers December meeting:

Lucky clovers held their Christmas party December 17 at the Northview School. We had a short business meeting, at which all the members signed a “get well” card for Joy Lonning. Next we all sang Christmas Carols, and opened our gifts. Mrs. Schultz also passed out the material for the New Year. Then we all played games which were provided by Kay and Debbie. Debbie also gave a demonstration on “How to get peanut butter out of your mouth.” After this we ate lunch which was provided by the leaders. The next meeting will be January 15. - Debbie Dux, club reporter
