Plath, Henry (13 Jan. 1892 – 19 Mar. 1958)

Funeral rites were held Saturday at 2 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Walter Krueger officiating, for Henry Plath, 66 retired bridge and building foreman for the Soo Line Railroad, who lived in Spencer until a year ago when he and his wife moved to St. Paul, Minnesota to make their home with their son, Orin, and family.

Mr. Plath, who had suffered several heart attacks, died suddenly at his home in St. Paul early Wednesday morning, March 19.

The body was brought here to the Swartout Funeral Home where it reposed until 12:30 P.M. Saturday when it was taken to this church. Burial was made in the Church cemetery.

In Charge of the flowers were Mrs. Anna Fritsch, Mrs. John Holzschuh, Mrs. Ed Huber, Mrs. Amanda Seitz, Mrs. Walter Matter and Mrs. Ed.Fravert.

Pallbearers were Emory Cook, Bud Bruesewitz, Ed Fravert, Henry Kuesel, Milton Domer and William Oelrich.

Mr. Plath was born in Racine January 13, 1892. He lived in Spencer for 59 years, and was married here to Laura Seefeld August 16, 1922.

He was a member of the local Lutheran Church and a veteran of World War I.

Besides his wife and son, he leaves two grandchildren, a stepsister, Hattie Plath of Chippewa Falls, and a brother, William Haase of Milwaukee.

His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

Out of town relatives here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Orin Plath and children, Jim and Barbara and Mrs. Henry Plath, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. William Haase, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Matt Boyance, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Luedtke, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Art Seefeldt, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hause, Colby; Mrs. Arthur Lemke and Mr. and Mrs. Orin Lemke, Oshkosh and a member from Marshfield and the surrounding vicinity.
