Hagen, William W. (20 Feb. 1946 – 20 Dec. 2008)

William "Bill" W. Hagen, 62, Wausau, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Bill served in the National Guard, and worked as an expediter at Kolbe and Kolbe Millwork, Wausau, for over 32 years.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Strebig) Hagen, Wausau; three siblings, DuWayne (Carol) Hagen, Jodene (Delmar) Leffel, both of Edgar, and Irene (Mitchell) Eckes, Stratford; three stepsons, Randy (Yong) Grauman, Olympia, Wash., Danny (Cheryl) Grauman, Rib Lake, and Gene (friend, Tara) Grauman, Chelsea; five stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many other great nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Burial will be in Fenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and again from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services, all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.

WAUSAU -- William "Bill" W. Hagen, 62, Wausau, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born Feb. 20, 1946, in Wausau, son of the late Walter and Elaine (Bugs) Hagen. In 1986, he married Mary Golden and they later divorced in 1992. On Oct. 8, 1999, he married Beverly Strebig-Graumann in Chelsea. She survives.

Bill served his country in the National Guard and worked as an expeditor at Kolbe and Kolbe Millwork, Wausau, for more than 32 years. He attended grade school in the town of Hamburg and was a past member of Ebenezer United Christ Church. Some of his hobbies included hunting, fishing, shooting pool and playing cards. He also enjoyed trips to the casino and playing Santa Claus for more than 32 years.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly, and dog, Mya, Wausau; three siblings, DuWayne (Carol) Hagen, Edgar and their children, Jackie (friend Jeremy) Hagen, Eau Claire, Laura (Bob) Tess, Stevens Point, Lisa (Larry) Kinsman, Madison, and Lois (Josh) Volesky, Kewaskum; Jodene (Delmar) Leffel, Edgar, and their children, Jeff (Charlotte) Leffel, Stratford, and LeAnn (Rodney) Lang, Marathon; and Irene (Mitchell) Eckes, Stratford, and their children, David (Rachael) Eckes, Rozelville, Corey Eckes, Stratford, and Tim Eckes (friend Kim) Stratford. He is further survived by three stepsons, Randy (Yong) Graumann, Olympia, Wash., and their son, Jiwon; Danny (Cheryl) Graumann, Rib Lake, and their children, Katie (Apollo) Switlick and Heidi Graumann; Gene (friend Tara) Graumann, Chelsea, and his children, Shawn (Amanda) Graumann and Jeffrey Graumann (friend Andrea); and four step-great-grandchildren, many other great-nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter-in-law, Tammy; and a goddaughter, Jennifer Hagen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. The Rev. Randal Jeppesen will officiate. Burial will be in Fenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home on Stewart Avenue.
