Jahnke, Bertha (2 Mar. 1896 – 8 Feb. 1937)

Mrs. Bertha Jahnke, nee Schneider, died at the home of her son Martin in the Town of Johnson, Monday afternoon at 4:30 after an illness of nearly a year. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2 o’clock at the Lutheran church in Milan. The Rev. Geo. Groh officiated. Internment took place at the Milan cemetery.

The deceased was born in Germany on March 2, 1896 and had lived for fourteen years in the Town of Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by six children, Frank, Town of Frankfort; Richard, Henry and Martin, Town of Johnson; Mrs. G. A. Brockman, 210 Callon Street and Mrs. Martha Baerwald, Spokane. Also seven grand-children survive.
