Stephens, Mildred I. (18 Mar. 1917 – 18 Nov. 2008)

SPENCER -- Mildred I. Stephens, 91, of Spencer died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

SPENCER -- Mildred I. Stephens, 91, formerly of Spencer, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Burial will take place in West Spencer Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. She was born March 18, 1917, in Owen to Ole and Anna (Molle) Elstrom. She and Chester Stephens were united in marriage April 17, 1935, in Owen. He died July 24, 2008. She had worked at Land O'Lakes in Spencer for 23 years until her retirement.

Mildred is survived by a son and two daughters, Robert (LaVonne) Stephens, Scottsburg, Ind., Sandra (Jerrold) Griepentrog, Spencer, and Darla (Kenneth) Strey, Spring Hill, Fla. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by five sisters, Evelyn Koski, Loyal, Jean Frisoli, Chicago, Lorraine (Jesse) Contreras, Chicago, Arlene Foker, Chippewa Falls, and Shirley (Robert) Kollmansberger, Greenwood.
