Trawicki, Anthony E. (December 12, 1933 - November 9, 2008)

Anthony E. Trawicki, 74, Edgar died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born December 12, 1933 in Poniatowski, son of Delphine (Strasser) Trawicki of Edgar and the late Joseph Trawicki.

Tony graduated from Edgar High School and enlisted in the Army and served in Germany during the Korean War.

He married Janet Jagodzinski on July 14, 1956 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.

He worked at the former Edgar Packing Plant and later dairy and ginseng farmed until his retirement.

Tony was a member of Edgar VFW Post #10187. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending various sporting events to watch his grandchildren. He was proud to have watched three of his grandsons participate in the state basketball tournaments in Madison.

Survivors include his wife, Janet, Edgar; his mother, Delphine; four children, Steve (Judy) Trawicki, Edgar, Mary (Timm) Fischer, Wausau, Beth (David) Boisen, Spring Valley, and Jim (Amy) Trawicki, Edgar; eight grandchildren, Chris (Stacey) Trawicki, Kim (Matt) Halama, Jessica Trawicki, Ben and Jordan Fischer, Emily and Zachary Boisen and Nathan Trawicki; two great-grandchildren, Isaac Halama and Addisyn Trawicki; two sisters, Delores Wadzinski and Pat DeLuca, Rib Mountain; one brother, Donald (Bonnie) Trawicki, Tucson, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Joan (Dan) Wagner, Blaine, Minn., Teddie Theiler, Perrysburg, Ohio; brother-in-law, Ervin (Arlean) Jagodzinski, Edgar and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Reverend Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military rites conducted by the VFW.
