Patrick D. Winnie, 52, Weston, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, as the result of a drowning accident.

Patrick Winnie was born October 10, 1955 in Wausau to the late Edwin and Dorothy (Deiler) Winnie.

He was the owner/operator of Winnie Distributing, a distributor of Little Debbie products, which earned him many achievement awards, including Distributor of the Year many times and Salesman of the Year.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, biking, gardening and hobby farming. Pat was known for his volunteerism with Everest Area Little League, coaching all of his sons' teams, and D.C. Everest Wrestling Club. Pat never missed an Everest football game or wrestling match that his sons participated in. He was also very involved with his church events. He will always be remembered as a compassionate person, which allowed him to be active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and helping those in need.

Survivors include his sons, Patrick (Christina) Winnie of Wausau, Matthew (Sarah) Winnie of Rib Lake, and Nicholas (Kaycee Weinke) Winnie of San Antonio, Texas; granddaughters, Emily Jo, Emma, Josefa and an additional grandchild expected next February; his "Little Brother" Cody Hoelscher; the mother of his children, Mary Jo Winnie of Wausau; his brothers, Daniel (Sherri) Winnie of Ringle, and Larry (June) Winnie of Mosinee; his sisters, Connie (Tony) Noskowiak of Schofield, Shirl (James) Roberson of St. Charles, Mo., Rita Weideman of Rothschild, and Diane (Bruce) Stroik of Rothschild.
