SPENCER -- Esther M. (Weber) Schmoll, formerly Luepke, 81, of Spencer died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, in the Pallative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital with her family at her side. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer.

SPENCER -- Esther M. (Weber) Schmoll (formerly Esther Luepke), 81, of Spencer, entered eternal life Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital with her family by her side.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose will officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Spencer.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Spencer, and one hour prior to service time Friday at the church.

She was born April 11, 1927, in Marshfield, the daughter of William and Ella (Werth) Weber. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High. Esther worked on the farm and later as a housekeeper at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Esther was first married to Leonard Luepke, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 4, 1997, in Spencer, Mrs. Luepke was united in holy marriage to Gordon Schmoll.

Mrs. Schmoll was an active, lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as a member of the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, baking, sewing and playing cards.

Esther is lovingly survived by her husband, Gordon Schmoll; three children, Gary (Sandy) Luepke, La Crosse, Marlene Luepke, Marshfield, and Debora (Douglas) Kochanowski, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and three stepchildren, James (Lynne) Schmoll, Marshfield, LeRoy (Karen) Schmoll, Marshfield, and Marjorie (Ray) Buelow, Hortonville. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jenny and Ryan Luepke and Nicole, Katrina, Brianne Kochanowski; two brothers, LaVern (Violet) Weber and Eugene (Annette) Weber; as well as two sisters, Delores Guden and Audrey (Robert) Helsten. Mrs. Schmoll is also survived by many stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. She will truly be missed.

Mrs. Schmoll was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Luepke, as well as her parents, William and Ella (Werth) Weber.
