Luepke, Frank F. W. (14 Nov. 1859 - 6 June 1953)

SPENCER - Funeral services for Frank F. W. Luepke, 93, who died at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Randolph Mueller officiating. Burial will take place at the North Lutheran cemetery.

Mr. Luepke, a resident of this area since 1881, had been in failing health for three weeks, due to complications of old age. Death came at the home of his son, William, in Spencer, with whom he had made his home the past four years.

Friends may call at the Swarthout Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, when the body will be taken to the church.

Mr. Luepke was born Nov. 14, 1859, in Bucholz, Germany. On the day he arrived in Spencer from his homeland, Oct. 31, 1881, he married Johanna Orthman of Spencer, and moved to a farm 2 1/2 miles north of Spencer. Mrs. Luepke died 20 years ago, but he continued to reside on the farm until four years ago.

Survivors include his son, William, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
