Lang, Dean A. (2 Jan. 1974 - 6 Sept. 2007)

Dean A. Lang, 33, of Edgar died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at his home.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. The Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Edgar and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the Edgar funeral home.

He was born Jan. 2, 1974, in Marshfield, the son of Larry Lang, town of Emmet, and Paulette (Kaiser) Lang, Edgar. Dean had been employed at Kolbe & Kolbe for the past 15 years. He was a member of the Mid-Wisconsin ATV Club, Marathon County ATV Club and Krejci City Cruisers Snowmobile Club. Among his favorite pastimes were snowmobiling, four-wheeling and fishing. He was a great Dale Earnhardt fan, enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a good carpenter.

Survivors, besides his parents, Paulette Lang, Edgar, and Larry Lang, town of Emmet, include his siblings, Evan (Mary) Lang, town of Cassel, and their children, Faith, Jonah and Hanna; Stephanie (Tony) Christensen, Stratford; Shelly (Dustin) Moore, Ottawa, Kan., and their children, Garrison and Allayna, and his grandfather Adolph Gruny Jr., Marathon, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond Lang, Mildred Lang-Gruny, Ralph Kaiser and Martha Kaiser; an aunt, Sharon Stencil; an uncle, Louis Hack; and cousins, Shawn Lang Fricke and Terry Bauman.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
