Michlig, Ignatz (25 June 1908 - 16 Oct. 2004)

Ignatz "Uncle Nick" Michlig, 96, a lifelong resident of the town of Cassel, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He farmed the Michlig family homestead until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Joanna Michlig; a brother, Alex Michlig, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, and begin again at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Marathon funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary Parish, Marathon.
