Heiting, Gerald T. (25 Nov. 1931 - 12 Sept. 1987)

Gerald T. Heiting, 55, of 518 N. Ninth Ave., Wausau, died at 2:15 a.m. today at the Wausau Hospital Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. A concelebrated Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Wausau, with the Rev. Anthony Fischer and the Rev. Robert McKillip officiating.

Committal services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where a Parish Bible Vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Visitation also will be from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.

He was born Nov. 25, 1931, in Marshfield, a son of Raymond Heiting of Marshfield and the late Theresa (Goldbach) Heiting, who died Feb. 4, 1982.

He was a 1949 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. On June 23, 1951, he married Joanne Trierweiler in Marshfield. She survives.

Mr. Heiting was in the National Guard for eight years. He was a salesman for Town and Country Tire Co., and then the Goodyear Tire Co., both of Wausau. He then was employed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, of which he was a member. He also was a member of the church’s Holy Name Society, and enjoyed sports and woodworking.

Also surviving are five sons, Steven of Bradenton, Fla., Mark, John and Tim, all at home, and Jeffrey of Wausau; four daughters, Debra, Sandra and Lori, all at home, and U.S. Air Force Capt. Julie Constable who resides in England; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gary (Marjorie) Giles and Mrs. David (Shirley) Egner, both of Marshfield; and three brothers, James, Kenneth and Ronald, all of Marshfield.
