Murkowski, Lorraine A. (1916? - March 3, 2009)

Lorraine A. Murkowski, 93, Wausau, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Lorraine's name.

Murkowski, Lorraine A. (1916? - March 3, 2009)

Lorraine A. Murkowski, 93, Wausau, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.

She worked at Wausau Hospital in housekeeping, the nursery, and central supply for more than 20 years.

Survivors include her seven children, Judith (Thomas) Kerkman, Salem, Mary (Warren) Docherty, Minneapolis, Minn., Gerard (Bonnie) Murkowski, Chanhassen, Minn., Francis Murkowski, Saline, Mich., Roman G. (Barbe) Murkowski, Wausau, Gary (Colleen) Murkowski, Milwaukee, and Allen (Lisa) Murkowski, Weston; one son-in-law, Paul Podruch, Madison; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, and again from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Lorraine's name.
