Jaeger, Carl (6 Apr. 1881 - 21 May 1954)

Carl Jaeger, 73, 518 Chicago Ave., a local resident all but one year of his life, died this morning at 5 o’clock in his home. Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Helke Funeral Home, with the Rev. P. W. Roehrs, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Internment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Jaeger, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jaeger, Sr., was born April 6, 1881, in Germany and came to this country and to Wausau with his parents as an infant. He was married here June 12, 1909, to Miss Minnie Gelhar, who survives. A tinsmith for 36 years, he was employed at the Rothschild Plant of Marathon Corp.

Surviving besides the widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Ewald Genrich, 314 Chicago Ave., and Mrs. Edward Kiene, Toledo, Ohio; two sons, Gilbert Jaeger, 518 Chicago Ave., and Edwin Jaeger, 1114 Monroe St.; a sister, Mrs. Ida Anderson, Rio, and 10 grandchildren.
