Verch, Otto (2 May 1909 - 22 Dec. 1986)

SPENCER - Otto Verch, 77, of 112 S. Pacific St., Spencer, died at 9:55 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, with burial in St. John’s North Spencer Cemetery. The Rev. David Ault will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born May 2, 1909, at Stratford, a son of the late Albert and Lena Verch. He received his education in Stratford and married Irene Luepke Aug. 15, 1939 in Iowa.

He was an employee of Roddis, Stratford, and Connor, Michigan, lumber companies, and Weyerhaeuser Co., Marshfield, retiring in May 1974.

Surviving are his wife; a son, James of Marshfield; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sandra) Mondlach of Marshfield and Judy Verch of Spencer; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Smith of Marshfield and Mrs. Elmer (Adeline) Griepentrog of Spencer; and two brothers, Paul of Marshfield and Norbert of West Bend.

He also was predeceased by one sister. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, with burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The Rev. David Ault will officiate.
