Schwantes, Donald H. (13 May 1913 - 29 July 1996)

SPENCER - Donald H. Schwantes, 83, Spencer, died July 29, 1996, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unit.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home and again from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. He was born May 13, 1913, in the town of Brighton, and had farmed.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Schwantes of Two Rivers and Daniel (Carla) Schwantes of Spencer; four daughters, Jane (Tony) Schillinger of Weston, Nancy (Roy) Darnell of Portage, Linda (Mitch) Fait of Pardeeville and Vicky (Mark) Seefeldt of Spencer; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; five brothers, John Schwantes of Spencer, Elmer Schwantes and Karl Schwantes, both of Anchorage, Alaska, Frank Schwantes of Washington and William Schwantes of Port Edwards; two sisters, Violet Lien of Janesville and Carolyn Melim of Illinois.
