Schnese, Lorraine J. (27 Aug. 1916 - 31 May 2008)

Lorraine J. Schnese, 91, of Junction City, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Junction City with Rev. Augustine Bentil. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Stiles, Wisconsin.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City and 9 a.m. until time of the services at the church on Tuesday.

Lorraine was born August 27, 1916, in Wausaukee to John and Ella (Cornett) Matheys. She spent her younger days growing up in Stiles.

Lorraine married William P. Schnese June 22, 1940. He died Jan. 29, 1995. Lorraine and her husband moved to Junction City in 1969 and she worked a position at the Portage County Home before retiring.

She is survived by her children, Donna (Falton) Fischer of Wausau, Linda (Kenneth) Block of Tucson, Ariz., Sandra (David) Bersie of Burnsville, Minn., Keith (Sally) Schnese of Wild Rose and Kevin (Sandy) Schnese of Junction City; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister Audrey Phillips of Oconto.

Martens/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
