Esselman, Naomi Mae (27 June 1935 - 8 May 1989)

Services for Naomi Mae (Mrs. George J.) Esselman, 53, Spencer, who died at 5:27 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice Care Unit, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Rembs/Kundinger Chapel.

Elder James Edward of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Sparta, will officiate. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, town of Richfield. Relatives and friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral chapel.

She was born June 27, 1935, in Spencer, to Richard and Naomi Tessmer. She attended Spencer Elementary School and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.

She was married to George J. Esselman April 5, 1958, in Wisconsin Rapids.

After her education, she moved to California where she resided for 1 1/2 years. She then returned to Wisconsin, residing in Marshfield. She was employed at Weyerhaeuser Co., retiring in 1984. She was admitted to the hospital April 27.

She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wisconsin Rapids, and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1733. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts at St. John's Catholic Church, from 1971-76.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Wayne L. of Stratford; one daughter, Judy Esselman of Spencer; her father, Richard Tessmer of Wisconsin Rapids; her stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Tessmer of Wisconsin Rapids; two brothers, Larry Tessmer of Marshfield and Delmar Tessmer of Stevens Point; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Gloria) DeGroff of Sheboygan Falls; one stepsister, Mrs. Homer F. (Shirley) Monteith of Marshfield; and one step-brother, Eugene Pascavis of ....missing content.
