Franz Krause (6 Dec 1851 - 1 Mar 1919)


Franz C. Krause was born 6 Dec. 1851, just in time to celebrate his first Christmas in Schontha Provinz, Pommern (Germany).  He married Bertha, the daughter of Carl Pagel, 22 May 1887 who was also born in Pommern Germany.  Their children were all born in Spencer, Wisconsin:Franz Jr. (31 Jan 1885), Otto (19 Mar 1888), Robert (10 Sep 1889), Alma (26 Mar 1900) and Marion (15 Feb 1904).  Bertha became a widow, 1 Mar 1919 and remained so for more than 17 years and when she passed away, 6 Jan 1937, she was laid beside him in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, North Spencer, Wis.
