Shorey, Ann E. (3 JAN 1870 - 27 SEP 1952)

Funeral services for Mrs. Warren Shorey, Route 1, Stanley, who died suddenly at her home Saturday morning, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Stanley with Rev. Leland Shaw officiating.

Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery.

She was born Ann Elizabeth Hurlbert, daughter of Hiram and Loretta Hurlbert, on Jan. 3, 1870, in Ottawa, Wis. She moved with her parents to Stanley at 18, and married Warren Shorey in July 1893. In 1910 they moved south to the Town of Edson, where she resided since.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Neil at home and David of Milwaukee; three daughters, Mrs. Thorvald (Theodora) Erickson, Stanley; Mrs. Robert Livingston of Shell Lake and Mrs. Mary Borgen, Rice Lake; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and the County Line Women’s Club.
