Herman Krainak (12 May 1893 - 24 Aug 1956)

Funeral rites were held from St. Louis Catholic church here Monday. The Rev. Father Gerald F. Schuh officiated at the Requiem High Mass at 9 a. m. Interment was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, with nephews of the deceased serving as pallbearers: Herbert, William, David, John and James Wanke, and Paul Leonhard.

Mr. Krainak died Friday, Aug. 24, at 4:20 p. m. in St. Joseph's hospital, Marshfield, where he was taken following a stroke at his home Wednesday morning.

Herman Krainak was born May 12, 1893, in the town of Holton. He received his education in the district school, and lived on and farmed the home farm, 3 miles east and 1/4 mile north of Dorchester Corner, all his life. He never married. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic church, the Holy Name Society, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving are four sisters, Anna, who resided with him, Mrs. Mike (Susan) Kaiser, Ironwood; Mich.; Mrs. Earl (Josephine) Meyers, Racine; Mrs. Peter (Louise) Wanke, Athens. Four sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
