Goeler, Rita (1948)

Holt-Goeler

Now at home at 727 - 13th street north, Bay Pines, Florida, are Mr. and Mrs. William I. Holt, who were married by the Rev. Edward McDonald during an afternoon ceremony at the Bay Pines Chapel on June 25.

The bride, the former Rita Goeler, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Goeler of Spencer. Mr. Holt is the son of Mrs. Myrtle Holt, St. Petersburg, Florida.

Miss Eunice Goeler, Medford, attended her sister as maid of honor and Clifford I. Faye served as best man.

The bride was attired in a street length dress of yellow sharkskin and gold accessories. Her corsage was of white roses.

A reception was held in the patio of the Palm Court Apartments, home of the bride’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Kund[???]h.

Mrs. Holt is a graduate of the Spencer High School and St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing. She spent two years in the Army Nurse Corps and at present is employed as a registered nurse in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Bay Pines.

The bridegroom was graduated from St. Petersburg high School and served four years in the Navy. He attended Southern college at Lakeland, Florida, and is now employed in the registrar’s division at Bay Pines.

The couple took a wedding trip to Miami and Daytona Beach.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
