The Homeplace assisted living company has announced that Jason Hazuga was appointed chief operating officer on January 27, 2013.

A Thorp native, Hazuga returned to the area in September of 2009 and started Traditions Assisted Living in Thorp. He holds a degree in human resources management and is currently pursuing a certification in gerontology.

Hazuga has over 15 years experience in the health care field. He received his start in the assisted living arena in 2008 at Milestone Senior Living in Eau Claire.

Hazuga is very excited getting to work with The Homeplace, getting to work with a wide array of people at the four locations, which include Dorchester, Mondovi, Durand and Stanley.
