Walter F. Nixdorf (19 Aug 1910 - 19 Sep 1971)

Funeral services for Walter F. Nixdorf, 61, were held Tuesday from Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford. Rev Kenneth Loehrke, pastor, officiated and burial was in the Abbotsford cemetery.
Mr. Nixdorf died Sunday at about 9:20 AM in St Joseph’s hospital, which he had entered three days before for treatment of a heart ailment.

Walter Frederick Nixdorf was born here Aug. 19, 1910, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Nixdorf. He and Lorna Colby of Abbotsford were married Feb. 28, 1948, in Waukon, Iowa. They farmed in the town of Mayville until 1969 when they moved to Abbotsford.

He served town of Mayville as town clerk and town treasurer over 25 years, and had been president of Cloverhill Co-op Cheese Factory. In 1970 he was elected clerk of the City of Abbotsford.

Surviving are his widow; three sons: Paul of Elk Mound, Walter W. and Allan, at home; a daughter Vicky at home; a brother Arthur at Waukesha and a sister Mrs. Conrad (Auerlia) Michel, Belvidere, Ill.
