TRESSA AUBERG DIES OF LINGERING ILLNESS

Death came to Tressa Auberg Tuesday, December 31, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been hospitalized for several weeks for treatment of a lingering illness.  Her health had been failing and required surgery and hospitalization off and on during the past 18 months.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, January 3, from St. John’s Lutheran Church, Withee:  with Rev. Leroy Urman officiating.  Interment was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Julius Johnson, Frank Cieslik, Richard Poppe, William Van Winkle, John Blunck Jr., and Robert Whittemore.  Carrying floral offerings were Mrs. Roy Auberg, Mrs. Robert Poppe, Mrs. Pauline Daines and Mrs. William Van Winkle.

Tressa Auberg, 48 nee Tressa Brunner, was born September 11, 1915, at Thorp where she received her elementary and high school education.  On June 21, 1935, she was united in marriage of Anton Auberg, from who she was separated in 1956.  Since that time she had been a resident of Owen and until her health began to fail, an employee at the Soo Café.

Mourning her passing are three daughters, Mrs. Pat (Joanne) Amundsen, Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Ronald (Mildred) Gehrke, and Sharon, Owen; one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Ann) Hansen, Owen, and two brothers, Barney Brunner, Thorp, and George Brunner, Chippewa Falls.
