Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28 for Mrs. Anna Baumgart, 71, Unity, who died Tuesday, March 25 at her home, following a long illness.

The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated at the service which was held at Lulloff Funeral Home.  A funeral mass was held at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby, on Tuesday morning, March 31.  Burial was made in St. Mary’s cemetery on Tuesday.  A Christian Mothers’ rosary was held at St. Mary’s church on Friday at 8 p.m., and a general rosary at 8:30 p.m.

Pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased, were Leon Steinwand, Myron Orth, Sylvester Tesmer, Conrad Orth Jr., Orville Baumgart and Theodore Baumgart.

Anna Baumgart was born Anna Orth at Colby, Nov. 28, 1892.  She received her education in Colby schools, and lived in the Colby area all her life.  On April 26, 1911 she married Otto Baumgart at Westport, Wis.  She was a member of the Women’s Catholic Order of Foresters and the Christian Mothers’ Society.

Mrs. Baumgart is survived by her husband, Otto; one son, Harold Baumgart, Unity; one daughter, Mrs. Otto (Marie) Sill, N. Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Theo. Steinwand, Mrs. Paul Tesmer and Mrs. Kate McKinnon, all of Colby; two brothers, Charles Orth, Vashon, Washington, and Conrad Orth Sr., Colby; and two grand daughters, Mary and Marlene Baumgart.  She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Attending services from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sill, Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Ray O’Keefe, Stevens Point, Ted Ohlinger, Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Preuss, Milwaukee, Mrs. Emma Seidel and son, Bob; Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Seidel, Waterford, Mrs. Alvina Fields, Park Falls, S. E. Tomczak, Park Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baumgart, Fifield, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Weller, Wauwatosa, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Steinwand, Owen, Myron Orth, Owen, Otto Kowalk, Owen, Mrs. Anna Orth, Abbotsford, Mrs. Ella Kanter, Abbotsford, Laurence Furtak, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Baumgart, Marshfield, and Mrs. Regina Davis, Wausau.
