Fischer-Bauer

Miss Dorothy Beatrice Bauer, Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bauer, route 1, Spencer, became the bride Wednesday, June 11, of Ralph J. Fischer, Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Fischer Sr., route 2, Spencer. The Rev. Bernard Henry read the Nuptial High Mass at Christ The King Church at Spencer.

The maid of honor was Miss Bernadine Bauer, sister of the bride, who wore pink nylonette with a matching bonnet and carried carations [sic] and roses.

Miss Dolores Fischer and Miss Florence Fischer, sister and cousin of the groom, were bridesmaids. They wore yellow nylonette and blue net respectively with matching bonnets.

The best man, Rueben Fischer, is a brother of the groom. Ushers were Gerald Bauer, cousin of the bride and Joseph Weber. The brides gown was made with a fitted satin bodice buttoned down the back and a full net skirt over satin with rows of ruffles around the bottom of the skirt and long court train. The long veil was caught to a headdress of seed pearls. The bridal bouquet was made up of yellow roses, lilies and lily of the valley.

The bride ware Oriental pearls, a gift from the groom. She presented the bridesmaids and maid of honor with a strand of pearls and earrings to match.

For going away the bride wore a light blue suit with black accessories.

The brides [sic] mother was attired in a coral dress with black accessories. The grooms [sic] mother wore a grey dress with dusty pink accessories. Both wore corsages of yellow roses.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the grooms parents. The wedding dinner and supper were served at the home of the brides [sic] parents which was decorated with pink, blue and yellow streamers along with white wedding bells and cut flowers. 125 guests were in attendance at the reception. A dance honoring the couple was given aat the Country Ballroom last Wednesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Fischer will go on a honeymoon after which they will be home to their friends in Milwaukee, where Mr. Fischer is a plumber, after July 1.

Among the out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Dick Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Fischer Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Murphy and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pankratz and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Fischer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Curtin and family all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Grossbeier of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Otto, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Litka, Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Helm, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Froeba, Mrs. Ida Litka, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bauer allof [sic] Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bauer of Greenwood.
