Oppelt, Lisa E. (21 July 1967 – 31 January 2010)

 

Lisa E. Oppelt, 42, of Eau Claire, and formerly of Black River Falls, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

 

She was born July 21, 1967, in Fredericktown, MO, to Dennis C. and Vicki E. (Ridlon) Olander.  She graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1985 and moved to Eau Claire.

 

Lisa had various occupations.  She was a very loving individual with a big heart.  She was always concerned about other people and wanted to help them.  She enjoyed fishing, reading, playing pool and walking. She loved cooking for friends, and she was an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers fan.

 

Surviving are her parents, Steven and Vicki Oppelt, Black River Falls; two brothers, Jason (Gena) Oppelt, Black River Falls, and Jared Oppelt, Red Wing, MN; two sisters, Teresa (Jeremy) Eswein, Wisconsin Rapids, and Jodi (Todd) Oppelt-Glamann, Tempe, AZ; two nieces and one nephew; two half-sisters, Tonya and Terri Olander; one half-brother, Olaf Olander; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Olander, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, from Torgerson’s Funeral Home (715-284-4321), Black River Falls.  Jeremy Eswein will conduct services, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls.

 

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until the time of services.
