Wyss, Theodore John “Ted” (22 August 1926 – 1 December 2008)

Theodore John “Ted” Wyss, 82, of Minong passed away Dec. 1, 2008, at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Theodore was born Aug. 22, 1916, in Monroe to the late Theodore R. and Hulda Wyss.

Theodore married Norbetta Irene Waelti June 24, 1947, at St. Victor’s Catholic Church in Monroe. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage together.

Ted started farming in Juda with his father. In 1953, he moved his family to Black River Falls and started his own dairy farm. Ted loved to go fishing and hunting. Ted and Speed loved to play cards with their friends and family. Ted and Norbetta took many trips out West together.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared his life are his wife, Norbetta of Minong; 10 children, Judith A. (Ernst) Kunshier of Hastings, MN, James J. Wyss of Boulder, CO, Kay I. (Charles) Miller of Hamilton, MO, Christine M. (Robert) Kruck of Okolona, AR, Jane (Jerry) Nance of Minong, Michael A. (Tricia) Wyss of Wisconsin Dells, Ann K. (Bruce) Fredrickson of Wiesbaden, Germany, Steven S. (Shawna) Wyss of Black River Falls, Todd T. (Mary) Wyss of Baraboo, and Mark J. Wyss of Orlando, FL; one sister, Nancy Gjovick of Whittier, CA; one brother, Richard (Margaret) Wyss of Monroe; 25 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home & Cremation services of Minong.
