Mildred Casper

Mrs. Mildred Ruth Casper, 81, of Taylor, died at her home in Taylor Thursday morning, November 19, 1981, following a heart attack.

She was born in Hixton April 19, 1900, to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Chrisinger. She married Lee Casper at Black River Falls December 7, 1921. She taught schools in Jackson County 31 years. Her husband preceded her in death October 6, 1965.

She is survived by one son, Morris, of Taylor; one brother, William Chrisinger of Bremerton, Washington, three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel, Mrs. Maynard Yeskie of Hixton and Etta, Mrs. Merlin Peterson of Black River Falls and three half-brothers, Rolland Johnson of Denver, Colorado; Rehnard Johnson of West Salem and Philip Johnson of Hixton.

The funeral was Monday at 1:30 in the afternoon from the Taylor Lutheran Church with the Reverend Omar Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Rest Cemetery at Hixton.

The Taylor-Hixton American Legion Auxiliary had conducted services at the Jensen Funeral Home at 7:15 Sunday evening. Friends called at the Jensen Funeral Home from 4:00 until 9:00 Sunday evening and at the church in Taylor during the hour prior to the funeral service on Monday.
