Holmgreen, Beatrice I. (11 Nov. 1905 – 31 Mar. 1987)

Beatrice I. Holmgreen, age 81, of 913 Fillmore St., Black River Falls, died Tuesday, March 31, in her home.

Bertrice Severson was born in the Town of Albion in Jackson County on Nov. 11, 1905 to Iver and Ida (Peterson) Severson. She was raised in Albion township, and she married Russel Holmgreen in Winona, Minn., on June 11, 1925.

The couple lived all of their married lives in Black River Falls. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her husband preceded her in death on April 23, 1982.

Surviving Beatrice I. Holmgreen are one son, Blaine Holmgreen, of West Allis, Wisc.; one daughter, Mrs. Ramona McKevitt of Neillsville, Wis.: one sister, Lettie Doehr of Hayward, Wis.; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by two brothers, one sister, and two grandsons.

Funeral services for Beatrice I. Holmgreen were Friday, April 3, at 1:30 p.m. from the Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Erik Zingelman officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Friends called at Torgerson's Funeral Chapel on Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Pallbearers were Duane Johnson, Roger Doehr, Perry Severson, Clayton Potter, Lloyd Severson, and Clarion Severson.
