Bayley, Robert James (6 December 1949 – 26 July 2019) With Flag

Robert Bayley, age 69, of Neillsville, formerly of Waukesha, died Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

Robert James Bayley was born on December 6, 1949 in Waukesha, the son of James and Clara (Schultz) Bayley. He spent 27 years working as a manager of a grocery chain, 17 years in automotive parts and 12 years in the United States Army Reserves. On November 9, 1996 he was united in marriage to Dawn Hart. They moved to Neillsville on May 10, 2013, where Bob also worked at Cummins Filtration.

Bob loved to golf, he was a baseball fan, a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and he liked to collect baseball memorabilia. He loved being outdoors, chopping wood, having bonfires and watching the deer, eagles and other wildlife at their home.

He is survived by his wife Dawn, three children, Andrea (Brian) Walters, Christopher (Kamela) Bayley and Kevin (Michelle) Bayley, two step-children, Katrina (Brian) Haack and Shawn (Kay) Greenley, 19 grandchildren, one sister, Wendy (Jim) Ballard, a sister-in-law, Sharon (Gordon) Addy, many nieces and nephews and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara Cholka and a sister-in-law, Carol (Bill) Hombs.

A Memorial Service for Robert will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Chad Anderson will officiate. Military Honors will be performed by the Neillsville Veteran’s Council. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge - Marshfield, 611 W Doege St, Marshfield, WI 54449 or the Zion Lutheran Church-Pine Valley, W6867 Granton Rd, Neillsville, WI 54456.
