Boswell, Ann Marie (5 Mar. 1914 - 9 Dec. 2008)

LA CROSSE -- Ann Marie Boswell, 94, of La Crosse, died peacefully surrounded by her family Tues., Dec. 9, 2008, at the Bethany Riverside Care Center.

She was born March 5, 1914, in Marshfield, to Peter and Mary (Benderling) Rottscheit. She was a devoted Catholic and her strong faith guided and sustained her throughout her life. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Boswell of La Crosse; a daughter, Dorene (Robert) Koby of La Crosse; nine grandchildren, Susan (fiance Mark) Lennartz of La Crosse, Lisa Peterson of La Crosse, Kathleen (Gregory) Henricksen of La Crosse, Linda (Dan) Smith of La Crescent, Minn., Donna (Eric) Boswell-Overson of La Crosse, Melissa Boswell of La Crosse, Amanda Boswell of La Crosse, Nicholas Boswell of La Crosse, and Jennifer (Thomas) Peart-Collier of Charlottesville, Va.; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Alice (Albert) Bauer of Marshfield, and Jean Ehlert of Wausau.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leland E. Peart; three sisters, Marcella Carey, Sylvia Perlock and Lorraine Elmer; two brothers, Edward and Arnold; and two infant brothers.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Fri., Dec. 12, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. in the Marian Chapel of the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman. The Rev. Michael Gorman will officiate. Burial will be held Sat. Dec. 13 at 11 a.m. in the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Marshfield.

Friends may call at the church Fri. from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

The Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse is in charge of arrangements.
