Dischinger, Richard & Nancy (50th Anniv. - 21 Sept. 2008)

Richard and Nancy Dischinger celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Sept. 21, 2008, at Wildwood Park Pavilion. The open house and buffet were attended by many past and present neighbors, friends, and family members. The celebration was hosted by their children and grandchildren. John Binder and Jim Eckes, led the anniversary song.

Original wedding attendants attending the celebration were Jim Dohm, brother of the bride; Dianne Dix Braun, friend of the couple; Irene Fait Reigel, friend of the couple; and Tom Loveland, cousin of the bride.

Richard and Nancy were married Sept. 20, 1958, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Bakerville. Richard was born March 2, 1937, and attended Marshfield schools. The former Nancy Dohm was born May 26, 1941, a daughter of Myron and Josephine Dohm of Marshfield. She attended Catholic schools in Marshfield.

They are members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and reside in Lindsey where they raised their family.

Richard retired in 1997 from 21st Century Genetics and Nancy retired in 2000 from Weyerhaeuser. In retirement, Richard now enjoys gardening and time in his home workshop. Nancy spends her time golfing and traveling. Both find great joy in their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Their family includes five children, Debbie (Scott) Peterson of Arpin, Richard (Cindy) Dischinger of Marshfield, Steven (Michelle) Dischinger of Marshfield, Carla (Don) Rottscheit of Cottage Grove, and Kevin (Erin) Dischinger of Phoenix, Ariz.; ten granddaughters, one grandson, and five great-grandchildren.
